Idrissa Akuna Elba, the English actor, writer, producer, rapper, singer, songwriter, and DJ was born on 6th September 1972, at London, England. He is the son of Winston, a worker at the Ford Dagenham plant, and Eve. His father was from Sierra Leon and mother from Ghana. He started his own DJ business in the age of 15, and did odd jobs including tyre-fitting, and cold-calling.
Elba’s debut in acting was in the BBC television program named Crimewatch in 1994. His first significant role was in Bramwell, which is a medical drama set in the England of 1890s.
