Paula Deen Divorce

Paula Deen Divorce

If you’re someone who absolutely loves to cook or to eat food, there’s a high chance that you’re familiar with the name of Paula deen. Known as the ‘queen of southern cooking’, through her career Paula helped to popularise southern American cuisine such as chicken and dumplings, country fried steak, deep fried cheesecake, and tons of other delicious yet high cholesterol dishes. However, her journey to success has not been the easiest of rides.

Paula and Jimmy deen were high school sweethearts and got married right after graduating at 18 years of age. They were young and in love and became parents of two boys, Jamie and bobby deen shortly after their marriage. In addition to the challenge of being a parent and raising two young boys and other continuous adversities—including Paula being robbed at gunpoint while she was working as a bank teller and the death of her parents—were extremely hard for Deen, and she started experiencing frequent panic attacks and agoraphobia, she refused to leave her house and became extremely afraid of people. To make things worse, it turned out that her husband Jimmy had a drinking problem which was hard to deal with. Fortunately, her grandmother helped her to find a way out of her severe anxiety and later, she decided to divorce her alcoholic husband in 1989 and move to Savannah with her children.

After moving to Savannah she was unstoppable on her road to success, dodging one scandal after another.

Later in 2004, she got married to Michael Groover, a tugboat captain 9 years younger than Paula living in Savannah. Their wedding was a big event that happened in Bethesda Academy in Savannah. The whole thing got broadcasted on the food network and was full of many delicious southern delicacies.

The couple is still going strong and have been consistently bashing divorce rumours.
