Lynda Carter

Linda Jean Cordova Carter was born on July 24th, 1951. She is an American actress, singer, songwriter and beauty pageant titleholder. She was crowned Miss World America in 1972. She is well known as the star of the Wonder Woman TV series from 1975 to 1979. She is also known for her works in 2001 movie Super Troopers as Governor Jessman, 2005 movie Sky High as Principal Powers, 2005 movie The Dukes of Hazzard as Pauline and 2007 movie Tattered Angel as Hazel Anderson. Her most recent work has been in TV series Supergirl playing the role of President Olivia Marsdin.

It doesn't look like Lynda has made any statements that tell us about what her religion or faith is. She has an official website and a Facebook page but we couldn't find much about this subject in those places. It seems to us that she likes to keep her religious views to herself. She is of Mexican, Spanish and French descent and out best guess is that she might be Christian. She also has some English and Irish ancestry through her father.

She is a staunch supporter of Pro-Choice rights for women which means that she wants women to be able to make key decisions about their bodies and not have the Government decide what a woman should do with her body. One of the key issues surrounding this is abortion. She also has a hard stance on legal equality for LGBT people. She has been the Grand Marshal of many Pride Parades. She is a long-time supporter of the Democratic Party and is good friends with Hillary Clinton and endorsed her 2016 Presidential Campaign.

Lynda Carter is currently married and has two children with Robert A. Altman, a son born in January 1988 and a daughter born in 1990. 

She has had overall two marriages. 

Her first marriage was to her former talent agent Ron Samuels which lasted from 1977 to 1982. 

Her second marriage was to current husband, Robert A. Altman in 1984.

Lynda Carter Hobbies

Apart from acting, she likes giving motivational speeches. She is also an avid reader of comic books. She also holds a golf tournament for charity and is involved in multiple charitable causes. She is also not shy on social media and is quite active on her Facebook page. 

Interesting Facts

She performed in a band called "Just Us" when she was in high school. :Later, when she was 17, she joined another band called "The Relatives". The last band she played was called "The Garfin Gathering with Lynda Carter". 

She was born in Phoenix, Arizona and represented her state in the Miss World USA of 1972. 

Her mother died from Alzheimer's disease on February 18, 2013.
