Sarah Shahi





Sarah is an American television actress who is also used to be a well-known NFL Cheerleader. Some of the character roles she is well-known for are of Kate Reed in the USA Network Drama Fairly Legal, Carmen on L Word and Sameen Shaw on CBS crime drama Person of Interest. Other movies that she has worked on are For Your Consideration, Rush Hour 3, Crossing Over, Eat Filth Bliss, The Congress, Road to Paloma, Divine Acess and presently shot Hangman. Some of her appearances have been in television series such as Teacher, Sopranos, Life, Young Justice, Ray Donovan, Pitch, Reverie etc. She even played the character of the first even ghost in the series Supernatural.

Sarah's family is mostly Iranian and her father's family moved from Iran before the Iranian Revolution. As she grew up speaking Farsi, her religion could be Zoroastrianism.

Although she belongs to a royal Iranian family and her father even had a troublesome exit from Iran, she hasn't made any public statements regarding active politics and remains immersed in the entertainment industry.

Sarah is married to actor Steve Howey in 2009 in Las Vegas. They together have three children.

Her childhood hobbies were playing volleyball and basketball and she was the captain of her school team. Sarah is an alumnus of Southern Methodist University and has even studied opera. 

Interesting Facts

Sarah is the great-great-granddaughter of Fath Ali-Shah Qajar who was the ruler of Iran from 1797 to 1834. 

Her father who worked in the American Embassy of Iran was slated to execution at the collapse of Shah regime but somehow escaped. 

Shahi and her husband were sued by their Muslim nanny for harassment.

She was featured in MAXIM magazine's HOT 100 of 2005 list at 90th spot, and on 5th position at the AfterEllen.com hot list in 2007.

She in 2009 was the cover girl of Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders.
