Roger Moore

Sir Roger George Moore KBE, known for playing the role of secret agent James Bond for the most time, was born on 14th October, in the year 1927 in London, England. He was the son of George Alfred Moore and Lilian “Lily”.

He acted as James Bond from 1973 to 1985, including several other films, and has also starred in British and American television series, like Simon Templar in The Saint. He was UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador in 1991, and for his services in charity, he was knighted by Queen Elizabeth II in 2003. The legendary actor died on 23rd May 2017 in Switzerland.

At first, their life went well, but problems aroused later due to money matters and also due to Van Steyn’s disbelief in her husband’s talent in acting. Beyond that, it is alleged that Moore suffered domestic abuse in that relationship. They divorced in the year 1953, in between which Moore met the Welsh singer Dorothy Squires.

Squires and Moore got married in 1953, but that marriage also was a failure, and the couple got divorced in 1968. They had a lot of problems, including legal disputes before the divorce, which was mainly due to Moore’s affair with the Italian actress Luisa Mattioli.

Moore married Luisa Mattioli in 1969, they had three children. They got separated after Moore started an affair with the Danish socialite, Kristina “Kiki” Tholstrup. Later, he married Tholstrup in 2002, after his divorce with Mattioli in the year 2000. They lived together till Moore’s death in 2017.
