Ice Cube

Ice Cube's original name is O'Shea Jackson and is an American rapper and actor. He began his career with a hip-hop group CIA and then a rap group N.W.A. His acting career started with movies and series like Boyz n The Hood, Friday and Barbershop. He has even been the producer of Showtime Television series Barbershop and TBS's Are We There Yet? Ice Cube is said to be the founding artist of gangsta rap which mostly contained socio-political commentary. Although one of hip-hop's most controversial artist, he was ranked number 8 on MTV's list of 10 Greatest MCs of all time. The and has also given him similar rankings and appreciations. He has released albums like AmeriKKKa's Most Wanted, Death Certificate, The Predator, Raider Nation, I am the West and many more including ones with equally famous collaborations. Recently, he has worked in movies like 22 Jump Street, Fist Fight, The Book of Life and XXX:Xander Cage.

Born in Baldin Hills, Los Angeles, he converted to Islam in mid-1980s. However, he has proclaimed that he is not exactly a practicing Muslim, rather just a believer of this faith.
