Ellie Kemper

Elizabeth Claire Kemper, the American actress and comedian, was born on 2nd May 1980, at Missouri, U.S. She is the daughter of Dorothy Ann “Dotty” and David Woods Kemper, who is a son of the wealthiest families in Missouri. Carrie Kemper, the television writer is the younger sister of Kemper. 

Kemper had an interest in improvisational comedy from her teenage years itself and appeared in several programs showing comedy sketches. Her “breakout role” was in the E! Television’s The Gastineau Girls. She is also a contributing writer for The Onion, McSweeney’s and to The Huffington Post. 

She did the role of receptionist Erin Hannon in The Office (2009-2013), which is the NBC’s comedy series. She also did the title role named Kimmy Schmidt in the Netflix comedy series Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt (2015-2020). Kemper received Primetime Emmy Award nominations twice. She has acted in films Bridesmaids and 21 Jump Street.

She once stated in an interview that she and her husband Michael Koman has decided to raise their first son as a Catholic, which says that the couple is leaving Jewish culture behind, Koman being a Jew. It is safe to assume that Kemper is a religious person.

Kemper and Koman has two sons, born in August 2016, and September 2019. She stated in an interview that she and her husband has decided to raise their children as Roman Catholic. Relationships of Kemper other than with Koman are unknown, as she prefers to keep her private life low-key.
