Singer KK passes away at young age of 53. Cause of Death, Career, Marriage, Kids & other details


The Indian music sensation KK nicknamed after his full name Krishnakumar Kunnath has shockingly passed away on 31st May, 2022 just hours after a stunning performance at the Vivekananda College Fest at Nazrul Mancha, videos of which are now surfacing the internet post his death. 

This comes as a double shock to the bollywood film & music industry with the recent passing away of Sidhu Moosewala, another prominent figure in the music industry. Many famous bollywood co-stars, fellow musicians and even the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi expressed his condolences stating he is 'saddened by the untimely demise'

Cause of Death: The exact cause of death is still unknown but is believed to be a cardiac arrest. The singer got a cardiac arrest at The Grand Hotel in Kolkata following his performance at the Vivekananda College Fest at Nazrul Mancha, a famous auditorium in Kolkata.

Career: KK can be considered one of the most prominent names in the male playback singers of bollywood with over 700 songs spanning over nine different languages. Personal Life: KK was born in Delhi on 23 August 1968 and has a Malayali heritage as both his parents, C. S. Menon and Kunnath Kanakavalli, were Malayali. He sang an impressive 3,500 jingles even before stepping foot in the Bollywood music industry.

Family Life: KK married his wife Jyothy in 1991 and has two children namely a son named Nakul Krishna Kunnath and a daughter by the name of Tamara Kunnath. His loss will be greatly mourned by his family and the entire nation alike
